Pakistan’s federal and provincial education ministers will meet today (December 14) to deliberate on the dates for educational institutions’ winter holidays.
Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood will lead the meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m.
The following topics are on the meeting’s agenda, according to a notice sent out earlier in the day:
- Children between the ages of 12 and 18 get vaccinated.
- Winter breaks will be moved to January 2022.
- In the provincial education system, the political map is enforced.
The government had planned to postpone the winter break to January to allow schools, colleges, and institutions throughout the country to continue their immunization campaigns. Provincial ministers, though, will make the ultimate choice.
