With “deliberate hesitation” on Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee invitation, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of “destroying the monarchy.”
In an interview with MailOnline, royal novelist Tom Bower made this accusation.
“There have always been serious doubts that Harry and Meghan would come to the celebrations,” he was quoted as saying. For starters, they couldn’t be in the limelight on the balcony as private residents.”
“Secondly, because Princes Charles and William are upset at their falsehoods about them in the Oprah Winfrey interview and no longer trust Harry and Meghan following Harry’s recent NBC interview.” Third, Meghan lacks the fortitude to confront Kate after her false charges in the Oprah interview.”
“Meghan is afraid of making terrible news if she returns to the United Kingdom. However, we have no idea how the ongoing feud between Palace officials and the Royal Family will be addressed.”
“They foster the uncertainty since their livelihood and prestige are dependent on continual media attention. They are addicted to boasting about their superiority. Unfortunately, the harm done to the monarchy by their purposeful public ‘indecision’ is unavoidable. It’s all part of their business plan.”
