Earlier today, Xiaomi revealed the launch date of the Xiaomi 12S series. The upcoming premium smartphones will be the Chinese company’s first to feature cameras developed in collaboration with the German camera manufacturer Leica. A few hours later, the CEO of the company revealed the design of one of these handsets.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun posted a rendering of the Xiaomi 12S Pro on Weibo. The phone in the image appears to be identical to the real-life image leak of the same smartphone from last month.

This means that the Xiaomi 12S Pro will be visually identical to the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The only difference will be the presence of the ‘Leica’ branding on the camera island.
As of now, we don’t have any specifics about the camera system on the yet-to-be-released phone. However, it is expected to have the same 50MP triple camera array. In that case, the Leica collaboration would only result in software processing on this handset.
