A price hikes has been set in motion starting with the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro.
Ghandhara Automobiles Limited (also known as Chery Pakistan) hasn’t provided a specific explanation for the increase in prices. Additionally, the exchange rate of the US Dollar has remained steady at approximately Rs. 288 for more than a month.
The latest price is as follows:
Models | Old Price (Rs.) | Revised Price (Rs.) | Increase (Rs.) |
Tiggo 4 Pro | 6,399,000 | 6,999,000 | 600,000 |
In early 2022, the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro were introduced in Pakistan during the SUV craze. However, they faced challenges in gaining a significant market share unlike their competitors. This could be attributed to the country’s economic decline shortly after their launch.
Following the recent increase in prices, the Tiggo 4 Pro is no longer a competitive option when compared to other cars in its price bracket. Priced at nearly Rs. 7 million, the Tiggo 4 is now in the same range as the Peugeot 2008 Active. Although the Peugeot model lacks a few important advanced features, it still holds a stronger brand reputation.
Given the current economic circumstances, it’s likely that the Tiggo SUVs will continue to struggle, especially with these elevated prices.
