KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has postponed its policy of transitioning to a digital form of payment by November 30 in order to assist the business community, according to ARY News.
In this regard, a notice was also sent.
According to a statement, the tax-collecting agency has extended the deadline for using the digital method of payment until November 30, 2021.
“The FBR has extended the deadline for corporate digital payments prescribed in Section 21(la) of the Income Tax Ordinance-2001 to November 30, 2021.” “FBR has utilized this authority provided under Section 214A of ITO-2001, after receipt of numerous representations submitted by taxpayers,” according to the notice.
The digital means of payment have been declared essential for the business sector, with implementation set to begin on November 1, 2021.
The new technique allows the business community to reimburse expenditures through a check, pay order, bank draught, or another banking method.
