The price of gold in Pakistan witnessed another substantial surge on Tuesday, concluding at Rs. 234,500 per tola.
As per the data provided by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the cost of 24-carat gold escalated by Rs. 4,600 per tola, reaching a value of Rs. 234,500.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams experienced an increase of Rs. 3,944, closing at Rs. 201,046.
This follows a preceding rise of Rs. 3,100 per tola, resulting in a combined two-day escalation of Rs. 7,700 per tola. These substantial increases correlate with the Pakistani rupee’s depreciation against the US dollar.
In the global market, spot gold exhibited a 0.4 percent growth to reach $1,901.80 per ounce around 1159 GMT, with US gold futures also rising by 0.4 percent to $1,930.90.
