After a surge of Rs. 2,900 per tola on Friday, the gold price in Pakistan has exceeded the Rs. 235,000 per tola mark.
As per data provided by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association APSGJA the price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs. 2,900 per tola to reach Rs. 235,500, and the rate for 10 grams witnessed a rise of Rs. 2,486 to settle at Rs. 201,903.
The week commenced with a Rs. 3,100 per tola increase on Monday, followed by another Rs. 4,600 per tola surge on Tuesday. On Wednesday, there was a decline of Rs. 1,900 per tola, while the price remained stable on Thursday. This cumulatively translates to an overall increase of Rs. 8,700 per tola throughout the week.
In the global market, the spot gold price remained relatively steady at $1,917.17 per ounce as of 1149 GMT, while US gold futures experienced a marginal drop of 0.1 percent, reaching $1,945.20.
