The Department of Colleges has made it mandatory for students to have a 70% attendance record in order to appear for the examination. They have received a notice warning that they will not be able to appear for their examinations if they do not meet the mandatory attendance.
According to the College Secretary, the regulation will apply to all of the province’s Government Colleges. According to reports, the department has also directed professors and administrators in institutions to take appropriate action and restrict students.
College principals and professors should reward students and make it mandatory for them to attend lectures and satisfy the required standards. Failure to satisfy the requirements will result in exam failure.
