The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has decided against providing winter holidays in educational establishments in the province due to inadequate time to fulfil the whole curriculum.
According to an official notice issued by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department (ESED), the working days available in KP schools to finish coursework for the academic session 2022-23 are insufficient in the wake of the Coronavirus epidemic.
As a result, unless weather conditions change unexpectedly, there will be no winter holidays at public and private schools in the province’s summer zone.
Furthermore, winter Vacations at public and private schools in the winter zone have been reduced, and schools will be closed from January 1 to February 15. Schools in the winter zone will return on February 16th.
