Harnaaz Sandhu, Miss Universe 2021, is ready to play Catwoman from DC Comics if the occasion arises.
Sandhu’s remark follows her being forced to meow on stage during the contest at the insistence of emcee Steve Harvey, a scene that quickly went viral on Indian Twitter.
When asked whether she’d want to portray Catwoman in an interview with India Today, Harnaaz said, “Why not?” This is my goal as someone who is a strong supporter for women’s emancipation.”
“Acting is one of my interests, and I like defying stereotypes by picking strong female roles that represent what women are and can be. As a result, this will be the proper course of action,” she continued.
Harnaaz has previously voiced her ambition to work in the film business, stating that she aspires to be a successful actress in the future.
