Blac Chyna’s legal struggle with the Kardashian-Jenner family is far from done.
The model has accused Judge Gregory W. Alarcon of being ‘undeniably hostile and severely prejudiced’ against her and her counsel, Lynne Ciani, after losing the trial last week.
In response to Chyna’s recent allegations, the attorney for the Kardashian-Jenner family in court said that the model’s prejudiced claims are an attempt to save face after losing her defamation case against the famous family last week.
Chyna sued the reality TV family for slander in 2017, alleging that they pressured individuals in the entertainment business to terminate her reality program, Rob & Chyna.
Chyna’s latest efforts to make a scapegoat’ out Judge Gregory, according to the Kardashian family’s legal team, were ‘frivolous’ and ‘dishonest.’
“Chyna’s new statement and sworn declaration of disqualification is a bogus attempt to preserve face after losing at trial and is devoid of any legal foundation to disqualify Judge Alarcon from presiding over future cases on this occasion,” legal experts stated.
“While Plaintiff and her attorney, Lynne Ciani, are naturally dissatisfied with the jury’s defense decision after an emotionally charged trial, their attempt to make Judge Alarcon a scapegoat is frivolous, dishonest, and worthy of penalties.”
The filings also indicated that Chyna took a “wait and see” attitude, filing the application to dismiss Judge Alarcon until after the judgment against her was rendered.
