The popularity of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the United Kingdom seems to have plummeted just as they prepare to return for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee festivities, according to Mirror UK.
A recent YouGov survey indicated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s popularity have plunged as they prepare for their first royal engagement, the Service of Thanksgiving for the Queen’s Reign, on Friday, June 3.
Approximately 63 percent of the 1,692 Britons polled in May had a bad opinion of Meghan, while 58 percent had a negative opinion of Prince Harry.
Meanwhile, just 23% of those polled thought Meghan was attractive, compared to 32% who thought Prince Harry was.
Meghan’s net approval now stands at -42, down three points from -39 in the previous poll, according to YouGov. In the case of Prince Harry, his net approval rating was at -26.
“In this newest batch of numbers, Harry and Meghan’s popularity has plunged again, with scores for both fringe royals touching new lows,” the polling platform stated in a statement.
The Queen, on the other hand, had a net +69, with 72 percent saying Prince William would be an excellent role model.
