According to a royal expert, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s impending visit to the UK for the Queen’s Jubilee is only for the show so that the pair does not lose a multi-million-dollar arrangement with Netflix.
Angela Levin, a long-time royal critic, told The Daily Mail that the Sussexes’ next trip to the UK might just be an opportunity to satisfy their $100 million pact with Netflix, particularly since they recently announced an ‘at-home’ style docuseries for the streaming giant.
“Netflix might insist on their being there – and they are now probably not in a position to say no because they would be dropped totally,” Levin says.
“Harry and Meghan have proved they adore the spotlight and attention, and will want to remind the world they are still part of the Royal Family, particularly while their popularity in the United States is plunging,” she said.
Levin went on to say that the American public is now catching on to the fact that Harry and Meghan “exploit their royal connections for fame and money while giving interviews with US TV poking fun at Harry’s family.”
