Coronavirus cases again showed an increase in last 24 hours recording six deaths in a day. The total number of positive cases in Pakistan reached up to 295,849 by the novel coronavirus. Nationwide the number of deaths jumped to 6,294.
Last week has been a very smooth one as there were very few cases and no fatalities but it again got on the peak in the Muharram holidays. Social distancing is only an easy remedy to fight this deadly virus but our people are stubborn enough to follow SOP protocols after the uplift of lockdown.
The latest figure released by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said that 213 new positive Covid-19 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Till now the updated tally of confirmed coronavirus cases recorded nationwide are as follows:
129,348 in Sindh, 96,769 in Punjab, 36,044 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,625 in Islamabad, 12,869 in Balochistan, 2,298 in Azad Kashmir and 2,896 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore, the number of fatalities due to this pandemic till now is recorded as:
2,401 in Sindh, 2,198 in Punjab, 1,250 in KP, 141 in Balochistan, 175 in Islamabad, 67 in GB, and 62 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 2,621,146 coronavirus tests of suspected patients where 280,682 Covid-19 patients recovered after fighting from the virus. 604 people are still fighting for their recovery and are in critical condition. In last one day 18,017 tests have been performed of people coming with symptoms.
