KARACHI: In the interbank currency market, the US dollar gained six paisas versus the Pakistani rupee (PKR) on Friday, closing at Rs178.4.

According to forex traders, the dollar ended the interbank currency market at Rs178.4 versus the rupee after gaining six paisas in intraday trading.
The dollar, on the other hand, is now trading at Rs180.20 on the open market.
On Thursday, the PKR rupee ended at Rs177.98 per dollar in the interbank market.
On the other side, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) gained 80 points on Friday, the final day of the trending week.
After adding 80 points, the benchmark KSE-100 index finished at 43,811.
During today’s trade, the stock prices of 132 businesses fell, while the stock prices of 181 firms rose. The shares of 17 firms were constant and stable.
