For the Shawwal moon sighting, it has been decided that the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will meet today on the 29th of Ramadan 2021.
Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will preside over the meeting. The zonal committees will meet in their respective areas while the central body would gather moon sighting evidence from across the country.
According to evidences it is cleared that chances of the moon sighting is limited on Wednesday and there would be complete 30 days of the holy month of Ramadan.
Hence Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan will be celebrated on Friday, May 14 2021.
“The new moon of Shawwal,1442 AH will be born on crossing conjunction point at 00-01PST on 12-05-2021.”
According to astronomical parameters, “There is No Chance of sighting the new moon of Shawwal,1442 AH on the evening of 12-05-2021 i.e. on 29th of Ramzan, 1442 AH.”
The Meteorological Department had said that Pakistan would observe Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday, as there was “no chance” of citing the Shawwal moon on May 12, Wednesday.
The meetings of zonal committees would take place in their respective areas, while the central committee would gather witnesses from across the country.
Eid prayers will be offered in various cities including Karachi, attended by a large number of people belonging to the Bohra community. The largest Eid prayer gathering of the Bohra community in Karachi will be held at the Taheri Mosque in the area of Saddar. Special security arrangements were made and a large contingent of Rangers and Police officials were stationed at all the Bohra mosques.
This year “The Eid-ul-Fitr” prayers and celebrations is planned amid strict Covid-19 restriction in Pakistan.
In Peshawar, the zonal RHC meeting will be held at the Auqaf Hall under the chair of Maulana Ehsaan. He is the chief of the Peshawar zonal RHC.
Maulana Ishaq, Qadri Abdul Rauf and Mufti Fazlullah Jan, Maulana Mohammad Ali Shah, Maulana Irshad Hussain and Maulana Abdul Baseer will also attend the meeting held in evening of 29th May.
