The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) published a new uniform plan for all female customs officials/officers on Monday, requiring them to wear only light make-up in neutral colors, no jewelry, and fingernails that are no longer than an inch beyond their fingers.
On Monday, the FBR published CGO 1 of 2022, a customs general order. “Fingernails (male ranks) should not be longer than the tips of the fingers. For female ranks, fingernails should not extend more than an inch past the fingers; officers may only wear minimal make-up in neutral hues. Officers are not permitted to wear jewelry while on duty, with the exception of a watch, wedding or engagement rings, earrings not exceeding an inch in diameter (not hanging or shimmering), and a necklace (to be hidden when wearing uniform), according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The Federal Board of Revenue has prescribed the design and accessories of the uniform for officers, officials, and sepoys of the Pakistan Customs Service in supersession of Customs General Order No.07 of 2021 dated the 6th August 2021, according to the FBR.
The official Customs emblem will be replaced with a new symbol with the words “Enforce, Facilitate, Progress” as seen in image-I, which will be used in the Customs flag, letterhead, and all future communications. Any damage to a uniform, which is a state emblem, will be deemed a criminal act.
