ISLAMABAD: Tax collection increased by Rs287 billion in the first half of the fiscal year 2012-22 (July-Dec), according to The News on Saturday.
The provisional revenue collection of Rs2,920 billion for July-December of the current fiscal year 2021-22 surpasses the goal of Rs2,633 billion by Rs287 billion, according to numbers released by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday night.
This is a 32.5 percent increase over the previous year’s Rs2,204 billion collection.
In December 2021, the net collection was Rs600 billion, up 18.0% from Rs509 billion in December 2020.
By the end of the day, these statistics will have improved even more due to book updates.
Gross revenues, on the other hand, increased by 32.5 percent between July and December 2020 and July and December 2021, rising from Rs2,315 billion to Rs3,068 billion.
Similarly, refunds reached Rs148 billion in July-December 2021, up from Rs111 billion the previous year, a 33.0% increase.
