If you want to catch a glimpse at an unreleased phone, one of your best bets is to go on a public transport ride. As luck would have it a Reddit user posted some blurry images of the long-rumored Pixel Fold in the hands of a person riding on the New York City Subway.
According to the original poster, a Google employee is holding the phone in the images, and we can see what appears to be the phone’s cover screen and its noticeable black bezels. Granted, only one of the images is clearly visible, and the others could benefit from Google’s Photo Unblur feature. Based on the most up-to-date rumors, Pixel Fold should adopt a similar design to the Oppo Find N2 with a compact cover display and a large folding screen.
The Pixel Fold is expected to have a 7.57-inch foldable panel and a 5.78-inch cover display panel made by Samsung Display. In addition, the Pixel Fold is said to have a 4,700 mAh battery. The foldable is also rumoured to go into mass production in Q3, with the phone costing around $1,800 when it launches. The Pixel Fold could realistically be announced at the Google I/O conference, which begins on May 10.
