ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan left the Prime Minister’s House for Bani Gala shortly after the no-trust resolution was passed late Saturday night.
Imran Khan has left the PM House for his Bani Gala house today.
Following the resignations of the NA speaker and deputy speaker, Ayaz Sadiq of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) took over as head of a committee to begin voting on the no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The session, which started at 10.30 a.m., was adjourned four times during the day, with members from the Treasury and Opposition benches expressing their views.
To remove the premier through a no-trust motion, the unified opposition requires the backing of at least 172 members out of a total of 342 MPs.
If it passes today, it would be Pakistan’s first no-confidence move against a prime minister.
