PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa government on Tuesday announced winter vacations for all educational institutions in the region.

The Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has communicated instructions to schools, informing that educational institutions in the summer zone (flat regions) will be shut down from December 23 to December 31.

The statement additionally mentioned that schools in the winter zone will experience an extended closure, with academic activities set to resume on February 29, 2024.

During the winter season, schools nestled in the scenic mountains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and the picturesque landscapes of Balochistan will embrace a delightful hiatus of 2.5 months for a well-deserved winter break.

Due to the severe cold temperatures in mountainous areas, schools are remaining closed for extended periods, as the mercury plunges below freezing.
