Shireen Mazari, a senior Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) politician, was reportedly attacked and detained by police in ISLAMABAD on Saturday.
Iman Mazari, Shireen’s daughter, claimed she was informed that Anti-Corruption Wing officials had taken her with them.
“My mother was abused and taken away by male police officers. Iman Mazari wrote, “All I have been informed is that Anti Corruption Wing Lahore has seized her.”
Iman Mazari called the police action a kidnapping. She said her mother was mistreated and she was kept in the dark. She said she had no idea who had kidnapped her mother.

Asad Qaiser, a leader of the PTI, urged law enforcement officials should disclose any evidence against Shireen Mazari. He said that such steps would not be enough to put down the anti-government movement.
“These activities will energize the movement even more. He said, “The government has realized that its days are numbered.”
The government believed that such measures would cause fear among PTI supporters, said senior PTI leader Imran Ismail. “We are not going to stop now. He cautioned that the interior minister should not engage in such behavior, adding that the PTI core committee will make a decision on the government’s measures.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the head of the Awami Muslim League (AML), on the other hand, stated the government has chosen to fight by detaining the PTI leader.
Farrukh Habib, another PTI leader, claimed the administration had panicked. Shireen was allegedly pulled and manhandled by male police officers, according to him. Shireen Mazari, he observed, had a loud voice and delivered her position without fear.
