Mohammad Rizwan along with Babar Azam played the gritty knock and became 2nd Pakistani wicket-keeper batter to hit 100 in 4th innings of a test match.
Overall, M. Rizwan is now fourth asian wicket-keeper batter to score 100 in 4th innings of a test match.
M. Rizwan achieved this milestone while playing against Australia in second Test at the National Stadium Karachi for Benaud-Qadir Trophy 2022.
Rizwan struck a 173-ball hundred to become the second Pakistani and overall fourth Asian wicket-keeper batter to score a 100 in the 4th innings of a Test match.
Earlier, Moin Khan was the only Pakistani wicket-keeper batter to score a century in the fourth innings of a Test.
Moin had scored 117* against Sri Lanka on September 26, 1995, in Sialkot.
Overall, it was Rizwan’s second Test hundred since his Test debut against New Zealand in 2016.
He also built a fighting partnership with Babar Azam to score 115 runs off 248 runs together.
Further, Pakistani skipper Babar registered several fourth innings batting records in a historic second Test against the Aussies.
His 196-runs knock brought Australia’s winning chances to a halt.
