PM Imran Khan on Thursday passed the judgment that he is determined to take back looted national wealth from corrupt people to invest in something productive as education sector. He made this remark in the inaugurating ceremony of Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST) at Mang, Haripur.
Mr. Khan said, “I am thinking of introducing a law envisaging that the recovered looted money by the Asset Recovery Unit would be invested in education because we can improve the future of our children considerably if we spend on their education.”

He questioned the nation, “Why can’t we produce our own scientists and make inventions and patents?”
He said Pakistanis are competent enough to make their inventions through the correct use of science and technology, knowledge economy, and education. Pakistan has talent and expertise but we are lacking in opportunities. He is determined to provide those opportunities to the bright students to work on their scientific innovation and technical productivity. This development would lead to the economic growth of the country.
He stressed that “Singapore generates $330 billion worth of exports compared to Pakistan’s $25 billion. Malaysia made an imprint in electronics as encouraged by its leader Dr Mahathir Mohamed.”
The aim of Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology built with the assistance of the government of Austria is to develop Pakistan’s industrial and higher education sectors. The international standard institute also aims to set up an integrated technology park equipped with business incubation centres and units for small and medium-sized enterprises. It would prove to be a scientific and technological hub to provide a platform for emerging Pakistani talent to excel in these domains.
PM also said that five Chinese and three Austrian universities Campuses would also be opened in Pakistan as the country is encouraged to excel in the areas of artificial intelligence and big data processing.
He also praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for their immense cooperation in turning the Pakistan-Austria project into a reality.
