In the month of Rabi ul Awal, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has published instructions for hosting Milads and Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) conferences.
Only licenced and government-approved demonstrations and activities will be allowed, according to a meeting of the NCOC chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar.
During the conference, participants were advised to rigorously follow the coronavirus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during the holy month.
The NCOC mandated that religious scholars and naat reciters be completely vaccinated before attending Rabi ul Awal activities, and proposed that the government and commercial media broadcast the ceremonies live so that more people may participate in the festivities without having to travel.
According to the NCOC’s SOPs for milads and other religious gatherings, the venues should be open and large, with a six-foot separation between the seating arrangements.
Thermal screens, sanitizers, and provisions for handwashing at the entrances should be provided at all events held at mosques and other locations, and face masks should be available at all venues. The NCOC also advised people to keep their distance from religious things.
On the 10th Rabi ul Awal, the authorities in charge have been instructed to set up special vaccination camps (October 17).
On October 7, Pakistanis saw the moon for the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awal, with Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) coming on October 19.
