ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad rejected all three appeals filed by Zahir Jaffer, the primary accused in the Noor Muqaddam murder case.
Sikandar Zulqarnain, Zahir Jaffer’s lawyer, filed three petitions in court on February 3, one of which was against the IG Islamabad after the Islamabad police made a statement saying there was “sufficient evidence against Zahir.”
The court was requested in one of the petitions to order Islamabad Police Inspector General Ahsan Younas to continue with the investigation “lawfully” and “clarify the solid evidence against Jaffer.”
In the second appeal, it was stated that the complainant Shaukat Mukadam’s phone number should be checked.
The advocate’s third application said that the crime scene map should be rectified since it is “incorrect” and that legal action should be taken against the investigating officer (IO).
The plaintiff’s lawyer, Shah Khawar, told the media that the “move has had no effect on the prosecution’s stand.”
The court, on the other hand, opted to reject all of the primary suspect’s pleas.
