The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government will introduce the National Remittance Loyalty program to facilitate overseas Pakistanis and bring more financial incentives to them. And this unique idea was presented in a meeting led by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday due to the increase in foreign remittances,.
The loyalty program will be launched in cooperation with different departments, including PIA, FBR, NADRA, State Life, OPF and Employees Old-Age Benefit Fund. Besides, the Roshan Apna Ghar Scheme will also be launched very soon for overseas Pakistanis along with a special mobile application. Last but not the least, to attract maximum remittances, Imran Khan directed the concerned ministries to consider extending more incentives to overseas Pakistanis which also discussed amid the meeting.
He said overseas Pakistanis were an asset to the country, adding that the remittances sent by them had an important role in the country’s economic stability.
he ministers for finance and economic affairs, trade adviser, special assistants for national security, revenue and other senior officials attended the meeting.
PM Khan said the government was determined to fully facilitate overseas Pakistanis and their families and emphasized the need to evolve a strategy to achieve the targets set for different sectors.
The Board of Investment informed the meeting that every possible effort was being made by the government to facilitate foreign investment in the country.
The State Bank of Pakistan apprised the meeting that the government’s policy of extending incentives to overseas Pakistanis was yielding positive results.
The meeting was informed that about $1.561 billion had so far been received in Roshan Digital Accounts in a short period of 10 months and there was a consistent increase in inflows.
