Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf , PTI criticize Sindh govt for limiting the business hours in the province amid the second wave of corona virus. The latest coronavirus measures claim to spread the novel coronavirus more aggressively. In respect to that scenario, Sindh government imposed the law of shutting down the markets by 6pm, starting business early at 6am.
PTI criticize Sindh govt and their leaders have the opinion that the reduced business timings will make the markets crowded and this has bad impact overall. The limited business timings will also affect the financial situation of traders, who are already suffering from the loss of business of the previous lockdown.
Opposition Leader, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, addressed a press conference in Sindh on Wednesday, slams Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah that he had tried to destroy the economy of the country earlier. He criticized that “The federal government operated by PTI had imposed smart lockdown instead of a complete lockdown. But the Sindh government has turned it into a complete lockdown and is trying to harm the economy under a conspiracy.”
Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that Pakistan is praised worldwide for successfully controlling the spread of coronavirus. He said “It was the strategy of Prime Minister Imran Khan that our country could not afford a complete lockdown.”
He strongly condemned the act of PPP leadership who are conducting rallies and asking people to join them and on the other hand imposing strict lockdown in the city. It is harming the economy and impacting the business of our traders.
The PTI criticize Sindh Govt, asked the PPP leadership that “Business hours should not be limited and markets should not be closed. Reducing market hours will cause crowding and that can spread the corona virus in that limited time as well. Instead, increasing the business hours will provide employment and prevent overcrowding.”
He asked ‘PPP leadership not to play politics over the pandemic situation.’
Despite the strict lockdown, eight people have died due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours and 1,348 new cases have been reported in Sindh.
Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah briefed about the recent report on the health emergency on Wednesday that 12,159 new samples have been tested in the last 24 hours. The results show that 1,348 cases, or 11.1 per cent of people who were screened, were later diagnosed with Covid-19.
This is a very alarming situation for the province despite the lockdowns and closing of educational institutions and private businesses. The recovery rate has fallen and 9% of the people who were tested are infected.
