Pakistani Veteran film and TV actor Qavi Khan died at the age of 80, passes away in Canada.
Due to his illness, the senior actor, who received the Pride of Performance award, was staying with his children in Canada.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi offered condolences on the death of the veteran actor.
Qavi Khan was one of the first actors of Pakistan Television Corporation when it was launched in 1964 with its drama Nazrana.
The legendary actor had reportedly spoken to senior actor Sohail Ahmed on phone today (Sunday).
He was also a recipient of the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, three Nigar Awards, and Lifetime Achievement Awards from Radio Pakistan and PTV.
Mr Khan was recently honored with the Aitraf Kamal Award by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi for his services to the field of arts
Qavi Begin his career at a young age at Radio Pakistan Peshawar. From there, he rose to stardom in television and came to Pakistan. Launching his career in PTV and Lollywood films in 1964, he was one of the few actors who witnessed the decline of the film industry up close.
Andhera Ujala, Fishar, Lahore Gate, Mutthi Bhar Mitti, Betiyan, Cinderella, and Dure Shahwar were among the many dramas in which he appeared. He also made a name for himself in Pakistani cinema, appearing in films such as Muhabbat Zindagi Hai, Chand Suraj, Sarfrosh, Kalay Chor, Zameen Aasman, and Pari.
