Salman Iqbal, President and CEO of ARY Digital Network, said in response to Maryam Aurangzeb’s press conference that the presser shows that ARY News is being penalised for upholding the truth.
@Marriyum_A presser proves ARY is being punished for standing with the truth. Info Min misled abt court order as LHC ordered that ARY contract is legit & as per law. If the Govt thinks they can press us like this they are wrong. (Part1).

The president and CEO of ARY Digital Networks remarked, “If [government] Think they can restrict us in this way, they are incorrect.
Salman Iqbal said that he agreed “it was up to Pakistan” that ARY Digital Network would shoulder 60% of the expense in the deal with PTV and earn just 40% of the profit in exchange, adding that any disagreements would be between the two parties. No other bidder, even the businessman, would have accepted such a condition, but he did so out of love for his nation and cricket!
He said that “the team would stand with ARY,” demonstrating his will to uphold the truth and his solid faith in Pakistan and its people. I have argued my case in court and will continue to do so, [people of Pakistan]. Let the people and the courts decide. I firmly believe that our judicial system will uphold the truth at all times.
It is important to note that earlier in the day, Maryam Aurangzeb, the minister of information and broadcasting, accused the previous Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government of compromising by entering into a “illegal arrangement” with ARY Digital Network for the rights to PTV Sports.
According to the Minister, the aforementioned arrangement with ARY Group not only jeopardised the legal framework for the bidding process but also endangered PTV’s financial interests
