For a change, this year is the first time that Samsung will be holding the event not only through YouTube and its own website but also through the metaverse. We don’t know how this helps people who are excited about new products. That’s fine.
A name given by Samsung is “Samsung 837X.” People can go there to see what Samsung has to say. There is a place called Decentraland called Samsung 837X, and it’s where people can watch a two-dimensional Samsung Unpacked and do other things like collect NFTs and go on missions.
They are all in on the metaverse this year. It’s not clear what this will do for them. Not only that, but for the full Samsung 837X experience, users must connect their MetaMask wallet and give their passwords. Samsung says that users who log in as guests won’t get the “full experience,” but it’s not clear what kind of experience Samsung is giving them.
