The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are expected to come with significant camera improvements over the iPhone 13 Pro versions. A fresh leak has revealed information about the primary sensor that will debut on the flagships, with the majority of the technology seeming comparable to that seen on the Google Pixel 6 series.
Apple has all but confirmed in recent months that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max would eventually have a 48 MP camera instead of a 12 MP sensor. Leaked measurements of the iPhone 14 Pro corroborate that theory, and a fresh leak claims to offer even more information about the phones’ camera capabilities.
According to a Chinese source, the iPhone 14 Pro versions would include a 48-megapixel primary camera. This sensor looks to be brand new, with a physical size of 1/1.3 inch and a native sensor size of 1.22 m. As is the case with all sensors of this kind, the iPhone 14 Pro phones will default to 12 MP photos due to 4-in-1 pixel binning.
In terms of specifications, this sensor seems to be pretty comparable to the 50 MP ISOCELL GN1, with a few small variations. The GN1 has been included in a number of smartphones, including the Meizu 18s Pro, the Vivo X70 Pro+, and, most recently, the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
