In December 2020, Oppo Reno 5 5G and Reno 5 Pro 5G, both powered by Snapdragon 765G SoC, were announced in China. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is now said to be testing the device with a different CPU. Hands-on photographs of the Oppo Reno 5 5G smartphone, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 CPU, have recently surfaced on the internet. Oppo is said to have introduced a new CPU version of the Reno 5 5G in response to continuing challenges relating to the worldwide semiconductor scarcity.
The Snapdragon 855 mobile platform does not have 5G support. Instead, a Snapdragon X50 modem is required to connect to the new network. So, instead of the Snapdragon 765G SoC that the device now possesses, the new reported model of the Oppo Reno 5 5G is believed to contain both the Snapdragon 855 chipset and the Snapdragon X50 modem. Oppo may have been compelled to test a new chipset on the Oppo Reno 5 5G due to issues relating to the worldwide semiconductor scarcity.
A global chip shortage is causing havoc on the production lines and inventories of smartphone companies all over the world, affecting the production of phones, laptops, video game consoles like the PlayStation 5, and more.
A 6.43-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate is featured on the Oppo Reno 5 5G. It sports a quad-camera array on the back, with the main sensor measuring 64 megapixels. It has 256GB of internal storage and a 4,300mAh battery with 65W fast charging capabilities.
Expected price in Pakistan
The Expected price of Oppo Reno 5 5G is PKR 59,999.
