The new Vivo X80 flagship phone family has been leaking left and right recently, and we now have confirmation from Vivo themselves. The Chinese company has officially stated that the Vivo X80 series will be available in China on April 25.
The confirmation comes from a teaser video that also shows the Vivo X80 Pro+’s primary camera design. This verifies the design we’ve seen in leaks previously.
The Vivo X80 phones will have a massive camera island on the back, with a circular cutout in the left corner. This cutout will include three camera lenses, most likely a mix of primary, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses. A fourth camera lens lies underneath this configuration and looks to be a periscope shooter for magnified images. On the right side, there is a horizontal LED flash strip.
There is also a little LED display on this enormous camera island. It is located towards the bottom right corner and displays the time, date, alerts, and other information.
Earlier rumors indicated that these premium phones will be powered by MediaTek’s high-end products, namely the Dimensity 9000. A Qualcomm model with the top Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC will also be available.
We anticipate hearing more official details shortly now that the teaser campaign has launched. Keep an eye out.
