Xiaomi is poised to extend its Black Shark gaming phone portfolio, after the release of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition last month. The Black Shark 5 will be released on March 30th, according to the Chinese brand.
The announcement is based on a Weibo teaser poster. It does not specify which phones will be shown, although the Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro are expected to be shown next week.
Specifications
Two Black Shark phones had already been discovered on the TENAA certification platform. A 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, an under-display fingerprint sensor, 16GB/512GB RAM, a 4,650 mAh battery, and a 108MP camera sensor are all included in the listing. In addition, the phone’s 3C listing indicated that it supports 120W fast charging.
The second phone on the list had a memory restriction of 12GB/256GB and a triple camera system of 64MP, but the rest of the specs were similar. We may anticipate the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in each of them since they are gaming phones. Instead, the Dimensity 9000 processor from MediaTek might be used in the Chinese version.
Another leak from a Chinese source stated that the Black Shark 5 phones would feature high-refresh-rate screens, which is a given on gaming phones nowadays.
