ISLAMABAD: As a follow-up to monthly e-Kachehries conducted in accordance with the prime minister’s directions, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman and Revenue Division Secretary Dr Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed convened an e-Kachehri at the FBR headquarters to listen to taxpayers’ grievances and concerns.
The complainants had direct contact with the FBR chairman, who listened to their problems and provided on-the-spot directions to resolve them.
Dr Ahmed expressed appreciation for the taxpayers’ recommendations and told them that they will be included in the design of tax policies and initiatives affecting taxpayers.
He underlined the revenue board’s commitment to assisting taxpayers in every way feasible. He further recommended people to attend their closest Regional Tax Office (RTO) and Customs Collectorate to resolve any issues.
The FBR chairman has already directed all field formations to handle taxpayers’ pending difficulties, emphasizing that any incompetence in this area would not be permitted.
