Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered that 83,741 public complaints lodged with the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal against various organisations and agencies be reopened in order to provide relief to the citizens.
The responsible officials will be appointed to continue with these public complaints, according to the Prime Minister’s Performance Delivery Unit (PMDU).
The prime minister has also ordered that 2,549 complaints that received partial relief be reopened.
The PM Office’s media wing said in a news statement on Saturday that 43,351 of the total complaints related to 773 federal government institutions that will be reopened.
Other complaints involving a total of 2,450 provincial institutions/departments would be reopened, totaling 40,415 in total.
The most complaints were received against IESCO at the federal level, with 3,181 being re-processed, according to PMDU.
At the provincial level, 1,606 complaints were filed against the Punjab Highway, 412 against the PDA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 874 against the KSWP in Sindh, and 130 against secondary education in Balochistan.
According to the PMDU, “all efforts will be made to guarantee that public complaints are resolved.”
