Lahore: Famous TLP chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi passed away in Lahore today due to illness. He has been suffering from health issues for a long time and passed away on Thursday night. His demise at the age of 54 is a shock.
Khadim Hussain Rizvi passed away in Farooq Hospital in Lahore’s Allama Iqbal town where he was admitted for quite some time due to his illness . He was shifted to his residence then. A senior leader of TLP, Pir Aijaz Ashrafi said in a statement that his funeral timings are not yet decided.
All the party leaders and religious scholars expressed their grief on the death of Khadim Hussain Rizvi. Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri is extremely sad over death of TLP’s chief. He expressed his sorrow in a statement “Pakistan has lost a respected religious scholar and true admirer of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him)”, and his services for Islam will be remembered for long.
Khadim Hussain Rizvi was the founder of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan which is a hardline political party known for raising voice against blasphemy. His supporters have launched campaigns against judges for not punishing the Christian woman accused of blasphemous act.
