The UAE has approved of Morocco’s decision announced on Thursday to resume diplomatic relations and communications with Israel. This confirms that UAE has welcomed the normalisation of ties between Morocco and Israel relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) reassured in a statement that the historical stance and firm approach of UAE supports the loyalty of Morocco’s sovereignty over its entire territories. MoFAIC highlighted the fact that US backing played an integral role in making this decision which will contribute in maintaining security and stability in the region.
MoFAIC and Sheikh Mohammed both approved of the idea of smoothness in Morocco and Israel relations initiated by the US President Donald Trump.
The UAE also applauded the move of Morocco and Israel relations to start contacts officially and build diplomatic relations. UAE is hoping that this would bring peace in promoting Morocco and Israel relations internationally and cooperation between the two regions.
Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, all welcomed the move open-heartedly.
Sheikh Mohammed shared on Twitter “This step, a sovereign move, contributes to strengthening our common quest for stability, prosperity, and just and lasting peace in the region”.
Morocco and Israel relations built after communications and agreed on normalising the things in a deal approved by US, earlier on Thursday. This important decision makes Morocco the fourth Arab country to put aside the bitterness with Israel in the past four months. Morocco follows the footsteps of the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan.
