WABetainfo revealed that WhatsApp, an instant messaging programme owned by Meta, plans to alter the time restriction for deleting messages for everyone.
According to the tracker, WhatsApp is already implementing the new time restriction for beta testers. Earlier, according to WABetainfo, the restriction was one hour, eight minutes, and sixteen seconds.
The platform said that they attempted to remove a message sent a day before and were successful, indicating that the new time restriction is two days and 12 hours.
“Note that WhatsApp is also working on another update for the delete for everyone function; the ability to erase any message in groups if you are the group admin,” WABetainfo noted.
The messaging app is already sending out the new time restriction to a subset of beta users.
