Prince William and Kate Middleton, the much-loved pair of the Royal Family, have been warned about a big “off-limits” section on their social media.
According to pop culture analyst Nick Ede of Express.co.uk, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are increasingly utilizing Instagram to “manage” their own “story.”
The royal pair should be “very cautious,” according to the expert since some topics would be “off-limits,” including politics, personal beliefs, and sponsored postings.
He said, ” “Politics, for example, and any type of personal viewpoint, I believe, will be off-limits. Anything that may be seen as an endorsement, I believe, must be handled with extreme caution. If it’s anything like the Olympic Games or other sponsored events. They cannot seem to be endorsing something that has been paid for.”
This follows Kate and William’s difficult Caribbean vacation, during which they faced mounting demands for the Queen to be deposed as head of state.
Ede described social media as a “strong strategic technique of connecting” that would become more useful as the pair “gets closer to being a king and queen.” It will help William and Kate “remain relevant,” particularly as the Royal Family shrinks and more worries about the monarchy’s future are raised.
