Pakistan is “favorites” to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, according to former Sri Lankan captain Marvan Atapattu.
“It would not be simple to overcome Pakistan in the UAE,” the Sri Lankan great told reporters.
He continued on his prognosis, saying, “The conditions in the UAE are comparable to the situation in Pakistan.”
“I believe they can bowl the length and play the strokes in their sleep.” They are well-versed in the circumstances.”
In the T20 World Cup series, Pakistan is the only side to win all five games in the Super 12 stage.
“I just witnessed a YouTube video of Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf bowling in a tape ball cricket match on a road.
It’s truly amazing to see. In these conditions, a decent team has to have a really excellent day to overcome Pakistan,” Atapattu remarked.
“I did not believe that a team like India would be ousted this quickly,” he remarked of India’s early elimination.”
He went on to say that he was pleasantly pleased by Sri Lanka’s actions. As a result, there may be some surprises.
“The England team is really talented. However, they came dangerously near to being defeated by Sri Lanka. They also stated that Sri Lanka was the only team that put up a strong fight against them. So, if you ask me to pick one of the four semifinalists to win the tournament, I’ll pick Pakistan,” Atapattu added.
