KARACHI: Islamabad United skipper Shadab Khan is sure of winning the Pakistan Super League for the third time.
Shadab told that Islamabad United will continue to use the same method of data and evidence.
“At Islamabad United, we believe that if you follow the process, results will come. It is our goal to win our third PSL trophy this season.
Plans are in place and flexible as always.
Shadab described how despite finishing last, the team’s players and management rallied around him, allowing him to rebuild and fight back in the next competition.
“This team has always stood with me in my worst moments. They have helped me when I have fallen. Even though we finished last in PSL 5, the team still trusted my leadership. “The managers remained calm,” he recalled.
“Calm leadership calms players. “We won 8 out of 10 group games in PSL 6, but we couldn’t make the playoffs,” he said.
The teenage all-rounder stated that as captain he believes in creativity and that is what United will do this season.
Every match and opponent is different. As a captain, I can improvise. “We believe in winning but also in innovation,” he remarked.
“Our low-value wickets and diverse batting orders show that. We aren’t afraid to try new things. “We want to promote contemporary cricket in Pakistan through Islamabad United,” Shadab said.
The PSL 7 begins on January 27.
