“Yes, I questioned Lala and inquired about his decision. He did say that I was probably too young for such a big responsibility, but I want to develop my international cricket by learning to manage increasing amounts of pressure. Although leadership comes with a lot of responsibility, Shaheen Afridi said, “I would strive to manage everything in a mature way.”
Shaheen is looking forward to the upcoming season and believes that he can lead Qalandars to their first PSL win.
“I’m in great shape, and I’m honored to be managing such a tremendous PSL franchise.” “This is a fresh chance for me, and I’m surrounded by experienced players who will help me learn on the job,” he added.
The 21-year-old is also excited to be playing with veterans like Mohammad Hafeez.
“Last time around, I was the vice-captain, and I learned a lot, but now that I’m the captain, I’ll ask for help from others to guarantee that this franchise advances in the correct path under my leadership.”
“I wasn’t sure whether the franchise would take a risk on me as captain since I’m still young,” he said. “But the management has backed me up, and I’ll try my best to return their faith in me.”
