Shahid Khan Afridi, a famous all-rounder, has requested that his new side, Quetta Gladiators, allow him to leave the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) seventh edition bio-secure bubble in 2022.
According to a Quetta Gladiators spokeswoman, the former Pakistan captain informed team management that he was suffering from a back spasm and that his sister-in-law had passed away.
“Shahid Afridi’s children are alone at home, and he wants to leave the bio-secure cocoon for these reasons,” he stated.
According to the spokeswoman, the famous cricketer has not yet left the hotel room where he is undergoing a mandatory quarantine, and any more information will be provided to the media.

Meanwhile, a representative for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that Afridi does not need permission from the PCB and may exit the bio-secure bubble once his team management approves it.
“However, before entering the bio-secure bubble at any point of the competition, he [Afridi] will have to undergo another three-day isolation and return two negative PCR tests for COVID-19,” he said.
