In March, Xiaomi announced the Black Shark 5 series, which contains three smartphones: the Black Shark 5, the Black Shark 5 Pro, and the Black Shark RS. These are now only accessible in China, but the range will go worldwide next month, with Malaysia as the first stop.
The Malaysian subsidiary of Black Shark used social media to promote the June 8 introduction of the Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro in Malaysia. The event will go off at 7 p.m. local time and will be broadcast live on the company’s Facebook and TikTok pages.
The Black Shark 5 RS will not be available during the June 8 launch, and it’s unknown if the business would bring it to Malaysia later or whether just the vanilla and Pro editions will be available in the Asian nation.
The Malaysian price for the Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro has yet to be disclosed by Black Shark, but since both smartphones were released a few months ago, we already know what’s on offer.
The Snapdragon 870 SoC powers the standard model, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor powers the Pro variant. Both smartphones have triple camera systems on their back panels, however, the Black Shark 5 has a 64MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP macro camera, and the Black Shark 5 Pro has a 108MP camera, 13MP ultra-wide camera, and 5MP telephoto macro camera.
