Huawei has launched two new phones to its lineup: the Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro. The only differences between the two phones are the selfie camera, battery stats, and a tiny variance in display size.
- Display and Design
The Huawei Nova 10 has a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz for smooth navigation. It is a 10-bit screen that supports HDR10 and has 1 billion colours. The fingerprint sensor is located underneath the display.
The Nova 10 Pro features a slightly larger 6.78-inch display, but otherwise has the same display specifications as the standard model. The biggest design change is the pill-shaped selfie camera cutout, which contains a dual-lens arrangement. This supplemented the primary selfie camera with a secondary ultrawide camera.
- Internal Components and Storage
When it comes to internals, the two phones are identical. Both phones are powered on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G SoC, which is a forerunner to the current Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. Both phones feature 128GB/256GB storage but just one RAM option (8GB). There is no slot for a microSD card.
Because it is a Huawei phone, it runs Harmony OS 2.0 and does not support Google Mobile Services.
- Cameras
The primary camera arrangement is also the same, with a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. This camera can capture 4K films, 1080p clips at 60 frames per second, and 720p slow motion videos. There is no optical image stabilisation, but there is electronic image stabilisation (EIS). Both phones contain a 60MP selfie camera, but only the Pro model has a secondary 8MP ultrawide camera.
- Pricing and Battery
The Nova 10 has a 4,000 mAh battery with 66W fast charging, however the Nova 10 Pro has a 4,500 mAh cell with 100W charging. This can charge the phone up to 80% in about 10 minutes.
Huawei Nova 10 and 10 Pro will be priced at $403 and $553, respectively, in Black, Silver, Green, and Violet.
