Last week, the Poco F5 Pro was discovered on Geekbench. Today, a new Xiaomi-manufactured phone with the model number 23049PCD8G has been spotted, which is expected to be the regular Poco F5. This new device features a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset and 12GB of RAM.
The Twitter account of Snapdragon India has verified that the upcoming phone from Poco, called the Poco F5, will feature the Snapdragon 7-series chipset. This will be the first phone in India to use this chipset. The company claims that this chipset will provide 50% better performance, 13% better power efficiency, and twice the AI performance compared to the previous Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
The specifications of the Poco F5 seem to be very similar to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which is only available in China. It’s possible that the two devices are identical, which means that the Poco F5 could also have a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W charging, MIUI 14 on top of Android 13 OS, a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, and a 64MP main camera.
The Poco F-series is the most powerful range of products that the brand offers. Although the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset may appear to be less advanced than the Snapdragon 870 found in the Poco F4, it actually provides better battery life and enhanced performance.
