With 50 major projects, the UAE will kick off the new season of the Year of the 50th. Known as ‘projects of the 50,’ they build on the achievements of the previous 50 years while charting a bold course for the next 50.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, announced the launch of a “bold new series of national strategic projects” together.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed went on to say that the initiatives would help the UAE continue to flourish for future generations.
The UAE people are invited to participate, using their knowledge, creativity, and ingenuity to help our country grab future opportunities.”
The initiatives will provide the groundwork for the UAE to enter a new age of growth, both domestically and internationally.

The UAE Government Media Office stated, “They aspire to develop the UAE into a complete hub in all sectors and areas of creativity and innovation, portraying the UAE as a country of chances and a destination for people seeking a worldwide testbed of innovative and successful ideas.”
The projects will focus on economic and social development, with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, digital and circular economies, and Fourth Industrial Revolution applications.
